People have asked over the years what I think about while throwing. I could say the world because I take a lump of formless clay add water, fire and imagination. From that a potter could create the world. You can be limited by your skills but mostly importantly by your imagination.
Glaze
I make my own glazes, this allows me to create the colours I’m looking for. This breathes beautiful life into my Irish made ceramics. It also means there are always variations in the colours as they are fired up to 1200C. One of the great advantages of my stoneware ceramics is that it is dishwasher safe, just be careful of the handles.
